John had heard good things about Rocna anchors, and decided to replace his existing plough. Over the period of a vacation cruise during the Christmas holidays, John spent some time testing his new anchor. He mentions that 40 knots of wind one night did not budge his yacht.

With a large displacement hull weighing in at 20 tons and a LOA of 54', Kristina presents a considerable profile to the wind. Tired of dragging their old generation anchor, Tony E. needed a final solution.

When the champagne bottle christened Shayne and Wendy Tobin's new world cruiser, it met its end against the heel of a Rocna 30. Launched in New Zealand's Bay of Islands, Waiora was built solely by its owners. She is to take the couple, together with daughter Kaya, around the world.
